Lu Michael
Barbuto D.C., F.C.C.S.(c), F.C.C.R.(c) – President
and CEO
Dr. Barbuto founded the Company in 1989. He has a very
strong combination of successful business acumen and health
issue expertise. He has sat on various health industry
advisory boards and associations and in 1992 he won the
award for Ontario Chiropractor of the Year. His book,
the Back Power Program, was selected as the “Premier
Back Program” by the United States National Safety
Council and the program is used by most workers compensation
boards throughout Canada. His background includes lecturer,
co-author of several medical texts, and medical consultant
to the Workers Compensation Board and other organizations.
Greg
Van Staveren, CA, CPA, CMA – Chief Financial Officer
and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Van Staveren has been Chief Financial Officer of AIM
Health Group since 2001. Mr. Van Staveren has been the
President of Strategic Financial Services since September
2001. Mr. Van Staveren also serves as Chief Financial
Officer of Starfield Resources Inc. and serves as its
Corporate Secretary. He served as Chief Financial Officer
of MacMillanGold Corp. until December, 2003. Mr. Van Staveren
served as Chief Executive Officer of MartinRea International
Inc. from February 1998 to September 2001. Mr. Van Staveren
was a Partner of KPMG LLP, Chartered accountants and Business
Consultants. He was with KPMG from 1980 to 1998. He also
serves on the Board of Directors of North American Palladium
Ltd., Macmillan Gold Corp., Quadra Mining Ltd. and Crossfield
Capital Corp.
Bill
Danis, CA – Senior Vice President – Operations
and Financial Management
Mr. Danis joined the Company in January 2009. Previously
he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate
Secretary of Med-Emerg International, since May 2003.
Prior to that he was a founding partner of Greybrook Corporation,
a private equity investment company. Previously he held
senior investment roles with Working Ventures Canadian
Fund Inc. and Royal Trust Enterprise Capital. Mr. Danis
left public accounting in 1985 to accept the position
of Managing Director of an offshore subsidiary of Brookfield
Asset Management Inc.
James
Ducharme, MD, CM, FRCP(c), DABEM, Senior Vice President
and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ducharme joined the Company in January 2009. Previously
he was the Vice President of Medical Services of Med-Emerg
International, since September 2006. He is a board certified
emergency medicine specialist in both Canada and the United
States, and has practiced clinically since 1981. He is
a founder of both the Quebec Association of Emergency
Physicians and the International Federation for Emergency
Medicine. He is a Past President of the Canadian Association
of Emergency Physicians. Dr Ducharme has done extensive
research and writing on the subject of acute pain management,
and is recognized internationally as a speaker in Emergency
Medicine. He has been a residency program director for
emergency medicine trainees for 11 years at McGill and
Dalhousie Universities and he is currently the Editor
for the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine.
Ross
Glover, BSc. – Vice President, Medical Services
Mr. Glover joined the Company in June 2009. Prior to AIM,
he was a Business Director and Director of Sales at Abraxis
Bioscience, a drug manufacturer in the field of oncology.
Previously, he held senior roles in sales and marketing
at EMD Serono and Pharmacia. Mr. Glover specialized in
building core teams to deliver detailed brand plans and
to implement tactics across Canada. Mr. Glover brings
a wealth of experience to AIM after 20 years in the pharmaceutical
industry.
