Massage Therapy is a regulated health care profession with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario that effectively deals with a wide range of physical and stress-related conditions. It is manual therapy involving the use of the therapist's hands; however, there are several different types of Massage Therapy, such as Swedish Massage, Acupressure, Shiatsu, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. The massage can vary from a relaxation focused massage to a deep tissue massage; treatment for a sports injury or post-surgical rehabilitation, headaches, neck pain, low back pain, stress, insomnia, carpal tunnel syndrome, pregnancy-related discomfort or countless other conditions.
